XPS 400/9150 Processor upgrades possible?
Ok.. I know the box is over 4 years old, but I need to keep it for a little while longer. I have an Intel Pentium D 830 3.0GHZ (LGA775) on board. I was wondering what the best chip I can upgrade to is... There's no info on the Intel DXP051 mobo around anymore. Anyone have any suggestions? Dell staff, your input would be most valuable!
Thanks!

You can use a faster Pentium D, the XPS 400 does not support either Core 2 Duo or Core 2 Quad processors.

Would you happen to know about which chips fit the XPS Gen 5 mother board? I currently have the same Pentium D as the original poster. Thanks!

The XPS G5 does not support Core 2 Duo.
Pentium 4 single core, or Pentium D processors only.
