XPS 410 - Floppy Disk Seek Failure + Keyboard unresponsive

I am running an XPS 410 with Windows Vista 32-bit Home Edition. Upon booting up I receive an error stating "floppy disk seek failure - strike F1 to continue, F2 for setup".

Hitting either F1 or F2 currently does nothing. When rebooting and trying to enter into BIOS setup hitting F2 also does not do anything. Hitting Caps Lock or Num Lock does not turn on any lights on my keyboard. I am certain there is not a problem with the keyboard because I am currently using the same keyboard to type this post from a different machine.

Unplug all devices from the computer. Remove power and press and hold the power button in 10~15 secs. Plug the computer back in and only connect the monitor, mouse, and keyboard. See if that helps.

If not repeat the above but this time before you reconnect everything open the case and try the CMOS reset<ADMIN NOTE: Broken link has been removed from this post by Dell>.

If that does not work you may be looking at a motherboard replacement.
