XPS 8300 Blurred screen
I have just bought a XPS 8300.
In the native monitor resolution the picture is absoluetly superb.
But in any other setting it is blurred (quite badly and make my eyes strain)
I fully understand it will not be quite as good, but the lower settings were all fine on my previous Dimension 8300.
I am using a Dell 1708FP Monitor with DVI connection.
The graphics card is the NVIDIA GT530 and I have loaded the latest drivers.

Here is the Dell driver for Vista. It will work for Windows 7. If the monitor was not being properly detected, it could cause the problem.
Give this a try and see if it helps.
There are also some Windows display tweaks that can be done that may also help. Go to the Control Panel/Appearance and Personalization. You can adjust colors and screen fonts for better clarity.
