reinstall audio driver
hi, i have been struggling with my desktop Dell Dimension 4600. The Kernel wave audio mixer device was not working, so i uninstalled it. I don't know what to download and how to reinstall the kernel wave audio mixer. What do i have to do, and how do get my sound to work again. THANK YOU for replying

Which ones you need to download, depends on whether you're using a dedicated Creative soundcard, or have an integrated/on-board audio chip?
But you can download the appropriate audio drivers off the Dimension 4600 'Drivers & Downloads' page :emotion-5:
A word of warning though: When you first click on a drivers download link, a new window will open, asking which method/option you want to use for the download?
DON'T select the Dell Download Manager option!!!! It's known to cause all sorts of problems!
Choose the 'browser' download option instead.
