why does my computer make a humming noise

Mine does the same thing. I've noticed from other posts on the board that it's the fan and Dell has replaced them when you call. Look through the posts here because people mention a specific brand name for the fan that has been causing problems and they also mention which fan to ask Dell to replace it with.
