EMC Proven Professional: What's in it for you?
As you are preparing for your certification, or maybe have completed a certification, what's in it for you? We know that "89% of respondents to a recent IDC whitepaper reported that EMC Proven Professionals find the training and certification content highly applicable to their jobs and the work they do. In fact, 88% appreciate the program's emphasis on developing an understanding of the breadth of technologies, which helps them understand broader IT environments." But, on a more personal level, what have you gained from preparing for and getting certified?

Hi,
I have gained knowledge of the storage technology and necessity to understand the storage environment. It makes you standout from other individuals who are unaware of the basic principles in storage advancement.

Standing out from others is a great result of getting your certification. It makes you visible and maybe gives that little 'edge' as opportunities in your workplace become available.

Hi Michelle,
Folowing are the typical situations, where these certifications helps:
1. During interview, the interviewer's first question will be "Are you a certified professional?"
2. Most of the customer want their EMC SAN infrastructure to be taken care by an EMC certified professional only.
