EMC certification requirements

I understand that one have to clear E20-050 before he/she is eligible to sit for E20-522

Say I have 3-4 years of experience working on Clariions. Is is mandatory to get registered in EMC trainging courses to sit in exam or get EMC certified for following certifications?

E20-050 - Clariion Associate Level Engineer

and

E20-522 - Clariion Professional Engineer

Thanks

Hello, and I'm glad that you were referred to the EMC Proven Professional Community!

EMC Proven Professional progresses from Associate to Specialist to Expert levels of certification.  You can take the exams in any order you like, but you will not achieve a Specialist certification (even if you pass the Specialist exam), until you achieve your Associate certification.

So here's what I'd suggest.  Since you do have experience, why not start by taking the Associate level practice test?  Just follow the link, locate your exam, and click "launch" under the practice test header.  If you do well, it's one indicator that you may be ready for the exam (we like to be clear, though, that passing the practice exam doesn't guarantee that you will pass the certification exam).

If the practice test identifies some areas you need to work on, there's your opportunity to prepare for the certification exam.

Sorry for the long answer; the short answer is that you do not have to take training to take an EMC Proven Professional exam.  For some people, experience is all they need.  Please let us know how you do!
