Isilon Tuning – L3 Cache Reducing Latencies
In this Knowledge Sharing article, Vinicius Viteri and Luiz Pissinatti share their experience enabling L3 Cache in a multi-petabyte Isilon Cluster. They discuss all the steps, concerns, activities, and especially, the benefits they have achieved by using SSDs as L3 Cache for metadata acceleration.
The authors use performance graphics, historical behaviors, and some metrics they considered important to plan this execution.
