VNX Performance & Monitoring Courses
Hello,
We are looking for a course that will help us monitor and troubleshoot performance issues on our VNX systems (5100, 5300 Unified, 5500). We have recently initiated a trial for the VNX Monitoring and Reporting tool, so a course on using this tool would be ideal.
Looking through the catalog I found the following courses and would like to know which would best work for us?
- VNX Unified Storage Performance Workshop
- VNX Performance Monitoring and Analysis Tools
- Storage Performance Fundamentals
Has anyone taken these courses? Does it cover the Monitoring and Reporting tool?

I shared your question with Ashish Garg, who manages the VNX curriculum, and he sent this response:
My recommendation for Steven is to take all the below courses. #1-3 are highly focused on VNX performance including workload characteristics, identifying performance issues and solutions, and very briefly touch upon many different tools. # 4 covers details on a specific “VNX Monitoring and Reporting” tool.
