Dell Client Integration Pack for MS System Center Configuration Manager 2012

There is a new version of DCIP coming for ConfigMgr2012 probably in the July/August timeframe.

Warren-  I see that the SCCM 2012 (Ver 3.0) has been released. I was wondering if there is any updated user documentation? For now, I am mostly interested in the Warranty Information piece and will investigate the other features later. Does just running the MSI get the database updated or is there more to it?

i  installed DCIP 3.0 with success but i have many problem to integrate the .cab:

many drivers don't want to be imported:

ex:

Driver Package: E6520-Windows7-x64-A04

               Driver Package successfully created.

               Drivers for Driver Package: E6520-Windows7-x64-A04

                   Failed to import driver: E6520\win7\x64\video\7JC6K_A08-00\Impcd.inf

                   Failed to import driver: E6520\win7\x64\video\7JC6K_A08-00\IntcDAud.inf

                   Failed to import driver: E6520\win7\x64\video\7JC6K_A08-00\2353-64.inf….

For some cab, dcip import some drivers but not all. With some cab (like E6520 version A04 or A05), no drivers are imported.

Have you any idea?

Did i to wait for new versions of cab specially for DCIP 3?

Hi,

There has been in issue with older cab files when they are used with DCIP 3. All cabs released after June 2012 should work. I tested the A05 for 6520 and that one worked. (downloads.dell.com/.../E6520-win7-A05-DG36M.CAB)

I was having problem to install the package and was finaly able to install it by doing one at a time.

I've install the Intel vPro first, than launch the installation again to install the warranty and then the SCCM plugin. Now it work.

i too am having a similar problem. with an optiplex 390 drivers. The optiplex 380 drivers worked fine, and imported without issue, the 390 drivers however fail to import.

Have tried redownloading and deleting the previous with no luck.
