Latitude E6420 PCI Express Root Port Driver Issue

We are seeing issues when deploying Windows 7 Enterprise x64 to our Latitude E6420's using the Combo Driver Cab version 2. The driver fails to install during OSD (Apply Driver Package Step) and continuously prompts the end user to install.

The workaround we have found once the OSD Process is finished is to manually install the Intel Chipset Software Utility.

Device Description: Xeon E3-1200/2nd Generation Intel Core Processor Family PCI Express Root Port – 0101

Thanks for the info. I'll add it to the list of items to be reviewed in the next version.

Excellent! That's exactly what you're supposed to do if you find a driver conflict. Makes it easy to manage.

Just an update, I created a new driver packaging using the existing Combo Notebook Driver CAB (2.0) and simply replaced the existing Intel Chipset Driver folder (R293337) with the new one (R304291, A04) and it seems to have corrected the issue.
