OptiPlex 9020 or Precision T1700 - Dell UP2715k and 5K resolution

We have the Dell UP2715K monitor.  The Dell Precision M4800 will display 5K with a beta AMD video driver through the dock so I know the monitor is working properly.  However neither the Dell OptiPlex 9020 nor the Dell Precision T1700 will display 5K resolution.  Instead they show one output at 4K and show a second monitor attached.  I tested the latest driver from Dell as well as Intel (09/29/2014,10.18.10.3960)

According to the documentation(dell-up2715k-monitor_User%27s%20Guide_en-us.pdf) Intel video cards are supported (revision later than 10.18.10.3510):

http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/product-support/product/dell-up2715k-monitor/manuals

However according to this webpage it does not state that Intel cards are supported, just nVidia/AMD:

Anyone else have any luck with this monitor and a desktop Intel video card??

For what it's worth, I just got this monitor and have it working with my Lenovo TS140 (I know, wrong brand!), using the onboard intel P4600 video card (via 2 displayport connectors), at full 5K/60Hz. Processor is a Xeon E3-1225 v3, if this matters, and I'm running Windows 10 pro.

This is using, for instance, the latest Intel drivers.

Besides being a bit slow on Lightroom (a Sapphire W4300 is on order to fix this), the only issue I'm having is with audio... possibly linked to the video/audio drivers... It works less than 1 time out of 10 at 5K, but I can't find what causes it work or fail.

Observations so far as that it's slightly easier to get audio via WASAPI than via direct sound, and that sometimes I can get sound using the lowest quality setting in the control panel (32 KHz sampling rate)... but even that is rare. I've tested the monitor with another video card (ATI V3800), and I seem to get sound reliably (but that card is limited to QXGA resolution).

As a follow up to my earlier post, upgrading from my onboard intel P4600 to a Sapphire W4300 solved the sound issue I experienced (I since discovered another sound issue with either video card when the UP2715K USB hub is used, which results in annoying pops from the speakers are playing music... this doesn't seem to be USB device dependant, but the more devices the worse it gets)
