Venue 11 Pro - Windows 8.1 Enterprise

We have a Windows 8.1 Venue 11 Pro and need to install 8.1 Enterprise instead.

We can install it from a USB without issues, however because it came with 8.1 Pro any recovery attempt will fail since the 8.1 Pro image (WMI) is what will recover from.

Is there a method to install 8.1 Enterprise and then create an Enterprise wmi to replace the 8.1 Pro already installed on the Venue?

If you are looking for a way to replace the default Reset/Recovery image, this blog post may help you: http://billamoore.com/2013/12/12/push-button-reset-in-a-task-sequence/

If you deploy using MDT/SCCM (or even deploy Windows 8.1 Enterprise manually via USB), you can run the command in that blog to create a new local recovery image.

Hope this helps!

Do you have steps to create the 8.1 enterprise wim file? I'm not familiar with the UEFI and secure boot
