ESRS Gateway on Microsoft Hyper V

Hello,

IHAC, that would like to run ESRS Gateway on Hyper V. Any expirience with that ? or any plans on the roadmap to support any other Vendor Virtualization Platforms for ESRS ?

Best Regards,

MaK

I thought the last time I looked at it ESX was supported. How long have you been running it?

We are probably going to be implementing next year (if we can get it by the Information Security Office documentation requirements).

VMs running on ESX as well as physical boxes are officially supported. I've been running it on VMware Server (free version) for 1.5 years and have not had any issues. Now that ESXi has a free version i would deploy it there. I love ESRS ..no more stupid modems to reset

Hi,

these are the requirements for the ESX Server.

VMware servers must be version ESX 2.52 and later.

Minimum requirements:

15 GB partition

2.2 GHz virtual CPU

512 MB memory allocated

but, any news on Hyper V ?

Ciao, Marco

This is great news ! Our data center is growing and growing and we need to get rid of the modems as well And ESX rules here

I, too, am interested in Hyper-V.  However, our management policy is to only allow VMs running 2008 R2.  Has anyone heard about 2008 R2 or Hyper-V offerings?
