Hello,
Can you confirm that your PPME license is for the techtype HOSTCOPY and not OPEN REPLICATOR, SYMCLONE or INVISTA?
Thank you

Looks like Linux requires a minimum of 5.3 for HostCopy. (Search "Host Copy" in the 5.3 release notes) It is listed as a new feature:
PowerPath Migration Enabler 5.3 includes the following new features
and changes:
◆ Support for Host-based copy migrations. Host Copy is a new
Migration Enabler technology type that works in conjunction
with the host operating system to migrate data from one logical
unit to another. Host Copy supports migrating plaintext and
encrypted data (depending on the license type). Subsequent
sections contain more information about supported
configurations.
