dpk,

You might like to elaborate on your configuration so we can help you..

ie: splitter type (santap/kdriver), OS, storage type, switch type, CDP/CRR ? ...

Some basic things to check:

1. Your zoning is correct. Host HBA to RP appliance target HBA (if kdriver is used) and Storage port to RP appliance initiator HBA
2. The storage masking is configured to allow the RP appliance to see the hosts LUN's.
3. The Splitter is selected from the RP GUI.

I found that in a MSCS cluster the resources can not be reserved by another system. Had to take down the cluster and then attach the splitter to the volumes.

Yep, I found that out too. And this will affect your ability to upgrade RecoverPoint non-disruptively since the cluster has to be taken offlline to reattach the splitter after an upgrade. This was a surprise in our deployment (the deployment team did not know about it) and caused us a lot of pain.
