Self Study files not working after installing

Hi Team,

I downloaded a Self Study module from education.emc.com, the file was IMPACT.exe listed under the Supported Materials for the Online Course I was going through. But after Installing when, I try to run it, it dows not work...the IE comes up with a popup asking to allow "Activex Control" and when I allow it...it does not start up.

Some help would be appreciated highly.

Thanks,

IE :- 8.0

I have enabled the Installation of Activex, when I open the start.html....it comes up with a pop-up...and I answer by Allow Activex Installation.

Still no luck

Hi

In order to view the Supported Materials Course offline, you need to ensure the following:

  1. Install the Latest JAVA after uninstalling the older version (http://www.java.com/en/)
  2. Install the latest flash and shockwave player (http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html)
  3. Set the Security accordingly in the Browser:

(eg in IE Tools>Internet Options>Security>Custom level>enable Activex and Script Activex)

Note: For Security Reason you may disable the settings after you finish the learning modules.

If you unable to view the Supported Materials Course after applying the steps above then you need to check the thirdparty addons installed in the browser, you can reinstall the browser or try another default Browser in extreme cases.

Cheers.
