Hi,
when I create LUN on my storage system cx4-120 clariion,I notice that automatically it has default own processor (SP A or SP B).
Based on what happens this choice?
thanks,

it's round robin, if you were to create 4, 2 would be placed on SPA and 2 on SPB

FLARE OS makes that decision where to assign the LUNs.

But in my storage system I created 18 LUNs, 6 of them placed on SP A and 12 placed on SP B.

You basically have 2 options, manually select which SP you want to assign to a LUN, or you let the System make that decision for you. The system has a huge number of undocumented algorithms that will decide which luns goes to which SP. The aim is to make it as load balanced as possible.
