EqualLogic VSS Requestor Memory (Windows)

Hello!

Anybody have a solution for Memory Leak on Service "EqlReqService.exe", with HIT 4.7.1 / 4.8.0. Group Members with Firmware V7.1.2 (R402088).

What is the Problem? The EqualLogic VSS Requestor Service a first time start with only 10 MB Memory USAGE and is acquiring up to 30000 MB or more on a Week.  (That's we restarted the service after 7 days).

Maybe someone reads that with the same "Problem". If have solution please share we us (Exclude restart the Service all time with Scheduled Task).

Environment: 5 Node Cluster Hyper-V  W2012 R2 + 2 Node Cluster SQL Server 2014 + 1 Nodo SQL Server + EqualLogic Group with 4 Members (PS6210xs, PS6010xv, PS4110e, PS4110e) (Blade FX2s, R720, R910, M610, Intel Nics, ISCSI) + 1 Node with ARCServer Backup R16.5. Others....

Thanks.

Hello Marcos J,

Could you please tell me what you do with HIT? Are you using Smart Snapshots on CSV volumes?

I'm not sure if applies on your environment, but please take a look at this hotfix:

support.microsoft.com/.../3004098

If your EQL group is on FW v7 or newer you may update your HIT to 4.9.0 released in June 2016.

Please let me know if this solves your problem.

Hello Leonardo,

The HIT is installer on All Failover Cluster and other Nodo with have iSCSI interface. We use CSV Volumes on Cluster Server.

On EqualLogic Group Configuration the VDS/VSS Access: no access. Because we not be using VSS.

We have not yet implemented the solutions offered.

Thanks and Regards!
