Equallogic HIT Kit and CentOs
Hi I am aware that Dell does not support CentOs with the Equallogic Hit Kit.
The older installer used to install on CentOs without issue, out of the box the newer versions do not install, as CentOs 7 fails the operating system check (Although I can persuade it to work).
We are a University and we are highly dependant on CentOs for our day to day operations.
Centos has joined redhat, and to my knowledge the operating systems are almost identical.
Are there any plans to add Centos support in the future ?

Hello,
I'm sorry, It is very unlikely that support for CentOS would be added in the near future.
While they have joined forces, support for CentOS issues still reside with the CentOS community, not RedHat support. While they are built from the same code, they may not be identical. Compilers or even compiler options may not be the same. Dell has support agreements with RedHat to more quickly resolve any issues. Not so with a community based project like CentOS.
