Firmware downgrade Equallogic P6100S SSD
I'm preparing a new unit for be added to an existing group. I want to donwgrade the firmware first, so I initialized the unit and created a new temporary group. But by default, this new group does not allow firmware downgrades.
Preinstalled version is 5.1.1
Is it possible to downgrade this unit?

Sorry, but no, v5.1.x is the lowest version that can be installed for that array (PS6100S). As long as the lowest version of firmware in the existing group is at least v5.0.x you can add it to the group without issues. You can then do a rolling upgrade to the other members (existing) to get them to v5.1.2 or the newest release v5.2.1.
The support site has the instruction on doing a rolling upgrade in the KB section (resources> knowledgebase). Then search for “rolling” and you should see a solution called “ARRAY: Updating a multi-member group without down-time”.
