Garbled console text/ Gibberish via console
Hello,
We have an older equallogic San PS series. No model number listed on the san. Everyone here has forgotten the login and password so we attempted to console in only to get garbled gibberish in the response. We've tried several console cables, I've messed with the serial setings as well. Does anyone have any suggestions?

If we cannot find the correct Type-2 cable, can it be ordered or made?

We gave HP switches. I have a ton of those laying around. But those work with cisco so I assume they are the same. Can i re-pin the rj-45 connector?

If you have an Dell PowerConnect Switch around? For me every serial cable worked except the one which comes with Cisco or APC (ups vendor) gear.
