Replacement batteries PS6210

Hi

I have a few of these units, they are under support and complaining about battery life.

Dell sent me some replacement batteries, but some of the have a MFD of 2013, this seems old to me. Others have a 2019 date. Should I get the old 2013 ones swapped? From what I've read, lithium packs don't store for more than a few years.

I have contacted support, but they have yet to answer so thought I'd try here as well.

cheers

Hello l4ndo,

If the batteries with 2013 MFD won’t hold a charge, then we can replacement them as your system is still under warranty.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Hello,

Dell doesn't use refurbished batteries, the date code is not in year and month format.   The 20 is the year 2020 and the 13 is the week is was made.  So more like date codes on tires.

So you have nothing to worry about with these batteries.

  Regards,

Don
