SAN HQ test email

I am receiving test emails from SANHQ about once a month. I thought this was a one time thing but I have received about 3 since installing SAN HQ. I didn't see any setting in the alerts config that would send a test email periodically, is this just me or is there something I'm missing?

Version 3.1.0.7890

I don't have the message any longer but it's just the standard test message that is generated when you test a new email for notifications.

Here's the notification, I just received another this morning...

This message was generated by the Dell EqualLogic SAN Headquarters service (version 3.1.0.7890) running on SERVER.domain.com to test e-mail notification settings.

No changes made to SAN HQ since I posted this so I'm not sure why I keep getting these but it's very troubling to wake up to a SAN alert message thinking something is wrong.

This is a screenshot of the email I received this morning and this comes after turning notifications off. Next step = uninstall...

I went round and round with them about this.  I'm on 3.1.0.7890 san hq and still occasionally get them.  I was told it was originally an issue with the version I was on and I do get fewer emails about it now.  If you check the Settings bar on the left, then click the notifications option you can control which emails it sends but i was never able to find one that relates to that test message.

I have opened a support ticket, actually opened it the same day as your previous response on 1/21/16, and it has been escalated to engineering. So far I have removed SANHQ, cleaned out registry and reinstalled but still received another test email just last week. Engineering is looking at the logs again and I will report here what their findings are. Hopefully there's a fix in sight.

Well, Engineering has been unable to duplicate the problem but I still get a test email once a month. They are keeping the issue open as a 'bug' and will notify me if there is a resolution.
