equallogic vsm 3.5 error "not connected to the server"

After I upgrade my HIT/VE to VSM 3.5, the upgrade was successful and the appliance was rebooted but when I launch VSM from vcenter I got an error "not connected to the server"

It's vCenter 5.1

What version of vCenter are you running?  VSM version 3.5 requires vCenter version 5.0 or later.

Take a look in the VSM user guide (on the same page as the download), and double check the troubleshooting section for connecting to vCenter.  If you tried these steps, you should open a support case so we can take a closer look.

What fixed it for me was to go to the Virtual Storage Manager in vSphere and choose Power Off then choose Power On.  Restarting did not fix it.  Only power on/off
