Dell Powervault NX3100
I have a query regarding the Dell Powervault NX3100 that we purchased.
From the owner’s manual, under section Removing a Hot-Swap Hard Drive, for step 2 – Using the RAID management software, prepare the drive for removal…
What is the RAID management software in this context?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hello dellForum2017,
The management software that it is referring to is the Controller BIOS or you can use OMSA (Open Manage Server Administrator) which also talks to the controller BIOS. Within OMSA you can mark a drive for removal then pull the drive while the server is up & running. If you reboot the server while it is booting you can access the controller BIOS.
