What is Factory Default IP Address of Equallogic

the eql has , by default, no ip adress, an easy way to setup the eql is to install the Host Integration Toolkit (HIT), which comes along with the EQL, supported operating systems for HIT are Windows XP, windows 2003/2008 server, vista (please note that the setup is available for 32 bit as well as 64 bit), make also sure that the machine where you intend to install HIT has an ethernet connection, run the wizard, if running the toolkit on windows server note that there some additional features like auto snapshot manager ,etc will installed too(you can alos choose what to install). Choose initialize PS ARRAY and the tool discovers all connected arrays, then you can setup desired raidlevel, group ip adress and so on. After completing installation you can also connect to ps array via web browser with chosen ip adress (be sure to have jav installed, the setup wizard HIT tool will check this for you) then you can start to customize your array.
Please also visit www.equallogic.com/support f. Actual HIT , firmware updates, docs can be found on that site. you need to register and registering your array, if havent got a valid login to access these data.
At the site you will also find a guide for setup the array via hyper temrinal session and serial cable connection, its also possible, please refer your cli command guide for that procedure, a litte bit tougher (sry I`m a mouse mover*g).
If still unsure or need help get in touch with the eql support team.
to access via hyper terminal the array and serial cable , attach the cable to array and client , power down and up the array, you should see the boot procedure on hyper temrinal (or other tools like putty), login with your grp admin account.
