delete missing virtual disk with corrupted

I have an old MD3000 which we haven't used in a while, but found a use for it now.

I am trying to delete all groups and raid so I could use all 14 drives in raid5.

There is a Missing Virtual Disk with Unreadable sectors which does not allow me do upgrade firmware.

I am unable to delete Missing Virtual Disk because of Unreadable sectors.

How can I remove it? I do not need any existing data or configuration.

thank you

You would need to do a system wipe and unfortunately it is not a command that I can put on here. What you would need to do is call into the phone support que and let them know you are needing to reset the array back to factory defaults via a system wipe. They will be able to get an analyst on the line and they can walk you through the steps. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Yes you would need that serial cable to get through this process.

I know that cable is model# CT-109, but will model MN657 work for this as well?

It is best to use the cable that came with the array but you should be ok if you have a standard Serial cable from another unit.
