5.1 Output on Inspiron 9400

Hey guys,
So I bought my Inspiron 9400 awhile back now with the "Sound Blaster Audigy Advanced HD Audio" but have never made much use of it. I finally want to start taking advantage of it but have realized I have no clue how to output 5.1 to my speakers. I took a look at all sides of my laptop and can not for the life of me figure out how to do the proper connection? The only audio connections I can find are headphone and mic. Here are images of all the connections (aside from obvious USB connections on one side)

Any help is greatly appreciated.

It doesn't have a direct output jack for surround sound. You have to connect an adapter to the multi-purpose port called the s-video port to get spdif digital audio out of the computer. The other end connects to a decoder which separates out any surround material that is encoded in the spdif audio.

See pages 60 to 70 of your manual for more info on the connectors.

Thanks! Now to my next question. Where might I find a compatible SPDIF cable/adapter? I searched the Dell Store and can not find one listed as compatible with my Inspiron 9400.

The adapter is called by various names, "dongle", "component video adapter", and "composite video adapter". The name and model of the adapter varies with the type of video one wants to pass through. You might find it at one of these places.
