ADD Additional Harddrive
I just purchased an Inspiron 17 i7 7779 2&1 laptop. It came with an m2 ssd. I would like to add a 1tb harddrive in the empty bay but I assume there isn't a harddrive bracket or hdd cable already present since it didn't come with an installed harddrive. Any idea where to purchase the required bracket and cable?

Dell Spare Parts -- in the US: 1877 - 372 - 3355
Check though before ordering -- the bracket may be there.

I don't know about the bracket since mine came with a 2.5 inch drive originally.
But when you open the system up, be aware there may be a snap holding the back cover on located in the center, near the back. I never saw it mentioned in the manuals so maybe someone from Dell could explain how to get it to release.
Possibly depressing the center of the back would allow the snap to move back far enough to release but I did not try.
