Add CD/DVD and USB Boot options in Dell inspiron 14r

Hi,

I have recently purchased dell inspiron 14r with windows 8 preinstalled on it. I want to save Linux on it but I am not able to boot my laptop using CD or pen drive. Although using legacy boot (disabling secure boot) I am getting such option to boot from usb or CD but I want Linux to be installed using UEFI boot mode, since window 8 is using UEFI boot mode already.

So please help me out here, also correct me if my understanding is wrong.

Thanks

Vinit
