Audio In Port for TV Tuner

I recently purchased a TV Tuner so that I can watch TV on my Inspiron 5100.  It has a USB cord for the video but the audio comes through a Audio-Out on the TV Tuner.  Is there anyway to connect that audio-out port to my comp?

plug a cord into your mic input on your computer and the other end into the audio out on the tuner

I may look dumb but its just a disguise.  I already tried that and I can't get it to work.
