Blue Screen Boot Error

I get a Stop 0x000000ED (UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME) on my Inspiron 6400.

I suppose the HD has failed. If I replace the HD, what are the chances the problem will be fixed?

Running XP.
