C640 and D600 USB port speed
Hello there
i have C640 but it's seem it's USB 1 not 2 :(
how can i get USB 2 with C640 and D600
one other thing , is all Dell Laptop use USB 1 ? and why not USB 2
io have both laptop and both of them seem USB 1
can you help me in that

The C640 definately has only USB 1. You can not modify the system to have USB 2. It is a hardware issue. If you want USB 2 on this notebook, you can get a PCMCIA card (PC Card) that has USB 2.
The D600 is USB 2. If you do not have USB 2 available and you are running WinXP, you will need to install at least SP1 to make it work.

Early model D600's were USB 1. Don't think they gave it USB 2 until they added "Dothan" architecture.

No, that's not correct. All D-series Latitudes and Inspiron clones (600m, 8500, 8600 etc) are fully USB 2.1 compliant.
