Clock isn't correct at startup

I have an Inspiron 1525 that is only a couple months old. From the very first time I booted it, the clock and calendar haven't been correct. I can set the clock and calendar, turn off the laptop, and when I power it up the next time,  the clock and calendar are incorrect (if it is the next day). If it is the same day, the clock is wrong. Today, there was a message that the Time Service wasn't running. I turned the service off, rebooted, turned the service on, and rebooted, and still no luck. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, how did you resolve the problem?

Your CMOS battery could be bad since the system is new i would contact dell about replcing it or find out what is wrong.

Double click on the time in the system tray. When the Date and Time properties window pops up click on the Time Zone tab. Make sure the time zone is correct. ie. change to central if you are in central time zone.
