Computer keeps crashing
I have the inspiron n5040. Just recently every time I'm opening applications on the laptop, the laptop keeps freezing. All applications day and I have to manually reboot the computer. I tried an error test and I have been given the following error 2000 0147. Any ideas?

Hi haddah,
2000-0147 error indicates “Optical Drive (d) - self test: (s): Your CD or DVD drive has indicated a failure”. I would suggest you reseat the optical drive and see if that makes a difference. In the link below punch in the system service tag or express service code and you can access the user manual for removing and reseating optical drive.
