Connecting Bluetooth audio headphones to Windows 8

I recently updated my Inspirion 15R (N5110) to Windows 8 and updated all of my drivers. I have an Intel Centrino Wireless N1030 adapter and a Beats Wireless headphone (they can be either telephony headset with mono audio or full stereo audio headphones) . After I connected the Bluetooth device I had to go into playback devices to set the headphones as default playback device but there are 2 connection types for my headphones (Headset and Headphones). The headset setting works but is only in mono and the headphone setting doesn't work at all. Is there any way to change the Bluetooth setting to play as Bluetooth Stereo Headphones?
