DELL NOTEBOOK PP39S

Ive been given a dell notebook pp39s. when i turn it on i get a screen that says

for realtek rtl8101e/8102e pci-e ethernet controller v1.08 (080400)

pxe-e61 ; media test failure, check cable

pxe-m0f ; exiting pxe rom

operating system not found.

can anyone please help does it just need a full reset installation.

Is the solid state drive (SSD) detected by the BIOS setup (f2 at powerup)?

  If not, you'll need  a new one.

im going to have a look in pc world tomorrow, and will it need all the programs installing on it ie will it restore the factory settings or will i need driver disk and operating system disk.

You'll need an OS disc  and the drivers.  The mini 910s didn't ship with a quick restore.
