DELL Studio 1555 keyboard problem
My Studio 1555 is just 20 days old:emotion-5: . I am having keyboard problems :emotion-9:, some keys needs more than two keystrokes/several times:emotion-12: The worst culprits are ~ , " ' ` these keys but it spreads wider sometimes.and yeah some sometimes my right shift and enter functions abnormally.
I have already made following tests on my keyboard:
1.Done troubleshooting in safe mode, same problem exists, two keys in my keyboard don't function/function abnormally.
Keys are` and ' (Using shift keys are ~ and " ).
2.Checked my keyboard via DELL DIAGNOSTICS provided in resource DVD (included with my STUDIO 1555). All the tests were passed.
3.Checked via. i-ball external Keyboard, still same problem exists.
4.Checked using Windows ® 7 on-screen keyboard, prob. exists.
I hope that some one is gonna help me soon.

I got the same problem with you. When I type Shift + ', the monitor appears "" instead of ", same with ~ ' " `` ^ symbols.
I think these button was error.
I really want to know as soon as possible reply from Dell Company about this problems.

Maybe problem is not with keyboard but with your editor, did you try type in Windows notepad??. I use many editors (to write programs/sites) and in all I checked options to close quotes (", ', `), notepad doesn't has this option ;)

Thanks for your reply, I tried to type in Windows notepad, but it is same.
