Dell Inspiron 2500 Laptop LCD screen turned completely white

Hello,

I had my dell Inspiron 2500 for over 10 years but I have not used for a while.
It was in a climate controlled storage and when took it out it was dry no sign of any damage.
when I turned it on the lcd screen is completely white and no signs of the machine trying to boot up!
I checked and reset the RAM, checked the LCD for damage and the connections, every thing is  fine.
Tried to use an external monitor but got no output!
Does anybody knows what might be the problem?
By the way my warranty has expired.

Thanks,
Han

Anything that old in storage for a while may have had a reserve battery leak and damage the system board -- that would be the first thing to look for.

You have a major problem, most likely something on the system board. Considering the age of the machine, it seems it will not be economic to repair it. You can get a new machine with much superior performance compared to the 2500 for $500 or so.

I  looked at the battery and it does not show any signs of any kinds of leaks!

Not the main battery - there's a CMOS battery soldered to the (usually bottom) of the system board -- it commonly leaks.
