Dell keyboard for 3 months only guarantee???

I am owner of a Dell laptop 17R N7010 and the warranty expired before 2 years. Before 9 months I bought from Dell here in Greece the original keyboard because the other one was defect. And now that I have again problem with the keyboard I contacted with Dell here in Greece and they told me that it has only 3 months guarantee. I just wanted to say that for a new item it is unacceptable to give only 3 months. It's new it is not used, I can't understand why it doesn't have 12 months guarantee as it should when EU says the same. I am generally very satisfied with Dell but this was very disappointing for me and I just wanted to share my thoughts about this matter.
