Dell touchpad issues - driver

Hello, I've installed

on my dell studio 1555 running windows ultimate 64 bit, but there is still no tab under "mouse" that says "dell touchpad" and would enable me to disable/enable various aspects of the touchpad.

I've been told to check in the device manager, and the dell touchpad doesn't show up. I have reinstalled the driver 3-4 times now, restarting the computer etc. to no avail - so now what is there to do?
