E6510 with fingerprint reader

Hello,

I purchased a E6510 with the built-in fingerprint reader and the E-port plus replicator and monitor stand docking station. the problem is that I can't leave the laptop closed because i need to swipe my finger!! Is there a way to have different login requirements depending on if the laptop is docked or not? Or can i get an external fingerprint reader that I could attach to the port replicator and satisfy the biometric requirement of the login?
