E7440 Keyboard Backlight does not work
Just purchased a Dell Latitude E7440 and cannot get the keyboard backlight to turn on. I tried the FN right arrow, but that doesn't do anything.

Just purchased a Dell Latitude E7440 and cannot get the keyboard backlight to turn on. I tried the FN right arrow, but that doesn't do anything.

Hi xrajncajnx,
The backlit keyboard was optional on the E7440. Fn and right arrow is the correct key combination so I would check if it was a backlit keyboard that was originally fitted. You can do this by entering your service tag into the support site:
www.dell.com/.../04
Click on the "System Configuration" tab and then "Components" to expand the list. The type of keyboard you have will be listed there.
