Fan in laptop makes a lot of noise

The fan in my laptop makes a lot of noise when it goes on.  Perhaps it is bent or something.  Laptop stays reasonably cool so think it is doing it's job.  Is it difficult to put new fan in??  I'm figuring probably but thought I would ask.  I called a Dell technician and we got disconnected.  I don't know if it was an accident or on purpose-?
