Fingerprint sensor - re-log-in problem

Hi,

I have a laptop Vostro 3500. Recently the fingerprint security software did an upgrade to a new version. The new version still logs in OK when first logging on. However it seems to go to sleep when logging back in after the laptop has hibernated, or been in sleep mode. In other words, swiping a finger for subsequent log-ins and nothing happens.

Any ideas?
