How to boot from a dell latitude c400 pp03L laptop since it not has CD rom
how to boot from a dell latitude c400 pp03L laptop since it not has CD rom.
I have to restore the system (fortunatelly I can still go inside windows XP) but I don't know how to boot since this laptop doesn't have floppy or CD rom. I tried to boot from a USB CD rom and USB Enclosure but it was unable to boot, even when I changed to the options I saw in the BIOS which are:
internal hdd
cardbus NIC
Diskette drive
onboard NIC
module bay cable HDD
C/port II or C/Dock II NIC
C/Dock or C/Dock II top PCI slot NIC
C/Dock II bottom PCI slot NIC
I don' know what to do.
Please help me.

You'll need to purchase an intenal CD-ROM drive - the system cannot boot from a USB device.

Thanks, but this laptop doesn't have any place to add an internal cd drive, I couldn't see any in the web.
If anybody knows how to re-install the system please let me know since the time is running.
