How to wipe out my computer?

Hey, I was wondering.. How do I wipe my hard drive? I want to restart everything on my computer.. I have too much stuff that I don't need on it.. I just want to start over. I called Dell a while back for help.. And he showed me a way to wipe my hard drive.. But I don't remember anymore.. Could someone tell me please? :D
