Inspiron 1000 BIOS Password Reset

Hello,

I need to reset the BIOS password on an older Inspiron 1000 laptop.

At this point I have tried the following:

1. Tried passwords: BIOS, CMOS, Dell, PHOENIX, phoenix
2. Removed battery and AC adapter and power cycled to attempt reset
3. Found three sets of jumpers near RAM slot and attempted to reset

I am a technician and have done this for years, so I do know what to do 95% of the time. :emotion-15: I have searched Dell Support for a service manual; however, there is no manual available for this laptop (e.g. via service tag).

Would someone please assist?
