Inspiron 1200 disable battery calibration?

for some reason when the laptop boots, prior to post , it attempts to run a battery calibration wizard, because apparently the laptop feels that the battery isnt working optimally. even after the calibration is run several times, the message still appears. after searching through the bios i didnt see any option to disable the nuisance. Is there any other way that i can disable this message aside from buying a new battery?. The battery works fine for me... holds the charge for ample time and ive never had a problem with it prior to this.
